I can’t believe I missed out! I got to walmart not too long after midnight just to see if by chance they would have them for sale and they were already sold out!
From the information I got earlier, they weren’t sure about it being sold at midnight but it indeed happened! When I spoke with the guys that work in the electronics department, they said that sometimes they’re not allowed to start selling til 7am but there was no provision for the wiifit to do that so it was on sale right at 12:01am.
For those on the other time zones, go now!!!!
When asked, the guys said that they only got in 28 units of wiifit to their walmart and once it’s gone, it’s gone! I did however snag another wii console they happen to have there. It’s quite ironic that I set out for Wiifit and keep on running into Wii game units instead. They also said that they got in a small quantity of units that came with the wiifit but don’t anticipate more for a few more months. Once the remaining units of wii sell out, that’s it for awhile.
I also asked how many units of the console do they normally get in and one walmart worker said that “sometimes we get in 1 unit, sometimes 3, it just varies on what they send us”.
So there you have it, if you’re looking to get one at walmart at midnight, don’t hesitate like I did, get there before midnight and make a bee line towards the electronic department.
My next phase in my wiifit buying strategy is to hit the other walmart in town when they open their doors at 7am! Then I will go to the 3rd one on the other side of town, then I will hit target.
I was so close…yet so far! I really wanted that tonight just so I know I have at least one to play! Being that I’ve been on such a fitness craze lately too, it would have been very fitting.
