After a really long night hunting down the Super Walmarts that still had copies of the Wiifit after midnight, I am really sleepy! I managed about 2 hours of sleep before I heard the alarm go off to get up.

I managed to make it out to the two regular walmarts near by and by the time I got there, only a handful of wiifits were left for sale! I was speed walking/running from the parking lot to the electronics department, the workers there were laughing at me because I was in such a hurry and they knew what I was after.

I think when you pull up to the store and see all these people walking out with their units, you just wonder if it’s still any left.

The second walmart I went to apparently were allowing people to buy up to 2 units at a time. I didn’t know that and didn’t bother to ask because all other places had a one per person policy. Once I was back in the car, I called my sister in law to tell her the good news knowing she was on her way to work. When I spoke with her, she had gotten to work earlier and decided to go to that same walmart I went to and bought a copy! She asked them how many she could buy and they told her two. Had I known, I would have picked up two. She was going to buy two just in case I didn’t get any but then decided against it. I doubt there are any left now.

When I spoke with her, I was already standing in line outside of Target with a number of other people waiting for store opening. Once inside, there were many copies of Wiifit available. The store clerk that rung me up said they had gotten in about 80 units!! That’s way more than any other place I’ve gone to or inquired about. And target didn’t take any pre-orders so it was first come, first serve.

They even had 3 game consoles available and two people picked up one each. I was so tempted to get that last one but I’ve already spent way too much cash. I really could have gone to the other target store, bestbuy, circuit city, toys r us and some others too to secure copies. I’m wondering if it really will get sold out because it seemed a bit too easy to get mine. I probably didn’t need to drive out all that way last night to get a copy but one just never knows how things will be the next day.

As predicted, target really was the best chance at securing a unit because they had the most quantity available. I got many of my units at walmart but I had to do a lot of driving around and fact finding. We’ll see how the reports go for the wiifit sale and then my next plan of action is to decide when to try to unload the units I have. My brother thinks I should hold out the wiis til around Christmas time because all game units gets sold out. It will be interesting to see where this little venture will go, it was as I’ve mentioned before a bit of an adrenaline rush and definitely good exercise. That wiifit box is heavy, lifting it all over the store was a workout in itself!

I’ve already set it up and tested it out for about half hour…so far so good. I’m really sleepy now, I think a nap is called for. I hope others have had luck getting their copy of wiifit! The miis are so darn cute in this! :luv:
