Pictures of fish and more at the Denver Aquarium!

On a recent trip to Denver, Colorado, we decided to take a day trip to the Denver Aquarium! It was snowy and cold and not much else to do since I don’t ski. Well, I’ve gone skiing before and it was NOT a pretty sight.

I still think the Baltimore Aquarium is better :good: but I am biased! When I visit there this spring, I’ll be taking some pictures of our wonderful aquarium too!

Enjoy the pictures from the Denver Aquarium, it was a pleasant surprise to see tigers there! We had originally wanted to visit the zoo but it was way too cold to be walking around outside. These pictures were taken with my Canon PowerShot A650IS in various modes. Most were taken behind glass displays in whatever lighting conditions each display was in.

Bearded Dragon in a natural setting, blends right into its surroundings This was a giant size fish, almost as big as a regular size shark! They really did a good job with the natural settings in each of the displays of fish and wildlife Taken from a bottom view of the fish above in their huge tanks. Poisonous frogs are recognized by their bright colors. This guy really looks like he's got scuba gear on! Snake is all curled up in its matching environment. It's amazing how easily they blend into their surroundings! Really large sea turtle swimming amongst all the other fish, this turtle was really big and moved pretty fast for a turtle! They had a lot of scenic setups with murals painting in the background. The rocks here looked real but at the very top where you see the evergreens, that was part of a massive painted mural! It was very realistic looking and the entire thing looked like paradise to me with the lighting and plants. Close up of a seahorse in it's display tank I'm not sure what these things are called but they were awesome with the way they gently move in the water and all the different colors they exhibit Pretty colors of the starfish and other underwater whatever you call them. Fish! More fish! I don't remember what the names of these fish are but they all look pretty! Yet another fish! Look carefully, there is actually a fish there! It totally blended in with its surroundings and it took me awhile to really see it! A school of fast swimming fish! Sharks were swimming amongst all other fish in their main tank! Talk about a community tank! They have an event where you can sign up to swim with the sharks. No thanks! Stingrays are amongst my favorite water creatures! I love the way they swim, so graceful! You can actually pet them when they swim up against the side of the pool I love the way they put the blue light in this tank display, it really shows off the jellyfish! This reminds me of the Spongebob jellyfish fields, my niece will be happy to see this picture! Jellyfish looks so graceful when they swim and it's cool how translucent they are...almost transparent! Nemo fish! This tank was so pretty with those electric blue color fish too! Gorgeous underwater displays with beautiful fish! Another beautiful underwater display with many colorful fish! The colors really play off of each other in this pretty underwater tank! Tiger! I was really pleasantly surprised that they had tigers there! The tigers were so pretty! Check out those big paws! Such a cute tiger! I think he was posing for me! Such a big gorgeous kitty cat! Such a beautiful tiger! This was taken behind plexiglass Super cute!! He was ready to take a nap! Yeah it's definitely nap time for this tiger! Here's a picture of me and my boyfriend Bryan! Here's a picture of me standing next to the glass of the main tank! Picture of my sweetie Bryan in the clear tunnel at the main tank!
