My favorite classical piano piece is Nocturne in E Flat Major by Chopin
I remember the first time I heard this song, I was maybe 8 or 9 years old. My older brother had recorded it on a compilation cassette back in the day. Remember cassettes? The first time I heard it, it sounded so familiar and I loved the song from then on.
Years later, I managed to get a copy of it to put on my mp3 player and have enjoyed it since. I have no idea though who’s rendition of Chopin’s Nocturne in E Flat Major, OP. 9 NO. 2 it was but I love the version I have. It’s so emotional and not rushed, so full of feeling and soul. It is such a beautiful and moving piece of composition. Maybe one day I will learn it myself, that might be one of those lifetime goals.
Anyway, I was over at youtube and found some amazing videos of pianists who was playing this song on their piano. The one I embedded here is of this young Chinese Pianist Yundi Li, he is amazing!! His rendition of this particular song is so passionate! I love this piece!!
